Entre-Deux-Mers is the largest appellation within Bordeaux, yet its name appears on only a limited number of wines from the region. By law, the Entre-Deux-Mers designation is given only to dry white wines made there from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle. Entre-Deux-Mers wines are generally crisp and citrusy and refreshing in style, excellent companions for seafood and light fare. Red wines produced within Entre-Deux-Mers must carry the larger Bordeaux or Bordeaux Superieur designation.
The lovely name “Entre-Deux-Mers” – translated as “between two seas” – refers to the two rivers, the Garonne and Dordogne, that help form the boundaries of the region.
Light nose of apples and pears with a hint of citrus. Superb acidic balance and lingering dry finish.
